Livejournal On It's Users

I found an interesting comment in a Lifejournal presentation...

Every once in a while, you come across a gem and you KNOW you've found a gem. Today, I came across one of those gems. It just so happened to be some insight on how Livejournal views it's users (oh the irony, right? read on...)

I was trying to read up on scalability and how to write web applications that would scale in the future. I'm coming across all sorts of terminology and acronyms that I don't understand when all of the sudden, I hit something that is painfully familiar. I'm reading a flowchart on how Livejournal's backend works and how they deal with scaling and such when I bumble into this example LJ post:

OMG i like totally hate my praents they just dont understand me and i h8 the world omg lol rofl *! :^- ^^;

add me as a friend!!!

I think this is quite an insight on how Livejournal views it's average journal author. I would hate to have anyone doubt what I've found, so I've uploaded the pdf for your enjoyment. Read page 28. Enjoy.
