A Great Day

My first day off in ages was great!

Yesterday I had my first real day off in a long time. There have been a few days when I haven't gone to work for various reasons, but yesterday was the the first real day off I've had since the Winter holidays.

I spent the whole day with Erin, and it was awesome. We woke up late (around 10 or so) and played Dungeon Siege II for a bit. After gaming, we loaded up her car with some stuff she wanted to store in my storage unit and both drove over to make a dump. We had to jump through some small hoops at the storage unit because they had screwed something up on my contract and cut my lock because they couldn't figure out who's stuff was in the unit, but they gave us a new lock for free and we went and unloaded.

After we had packed the stuff away, but before we left the storage unit, we wanted to take some pictures with Erin's new camera, a Canon EOS 350D (Digital Rebel XT). Here are some thumbs of what she snapped (she has started a 'Picture Of The Day' thing on http://mindboggles.net in which she'll show photos like these):

Afterwards, we went to Macaroni Grill and indulged in delicious food and then went back to Erin's to play more games and relax. We ended up playing Dungeon Siege II again for two hours, it rocked. We only stopped because I wanted to go work out before we went to the movies. The workout was good, but some of the machines were broken, so I wasn't able to run on the treadmill like I was really hoping. Instead I used the cycle machine, which was fine enough.

I showered, got dressed, and we went to see 300 at the Alamo Drafthouse. It was awesome. I was so entertained. I don't have the talent for reviewing movies so I'll let other people do that. The food was good, the movie was great. After the movie we talked about movies on the way home in the car and we went right to sleep when we got home. It was a great ending to a great day.
