A Prime Anniversary

A coincidence of primes.

Tonight Erin and I were talking about how long we have been together and realized that on April 26, we will have been together eight Gregorian months. I thought it would be more interesting to count our anniversaries by a different unit of measurement than months, say by primes or multiples of 50.

She called me a dork and told me to roll over and go to sleep.

However, I persisted saying that it would be much more interesting in conversation to reply to, "Erin! Mark and I have been going out for 10 months!" with something like, "Oh? Jon and I have been going out for 52 primes!" I was able to conjure a laugh out of her and then became insatiably curious: how close were we actually to the 52 prime?

The 52nd prime(ignoring 1) is 239. From August 25, 2006 to April 11, 2007, it is 239 days by my quick calculations.

How odd is that? I swear, I should be getting medals for this stuff.
